Quality Flow, a subsidiary of Quality Flow Inc., announced plans to start the construction of a new facility in Maquoketa, Iowa, to turn cow waste into refined fertilizer. The US Department of Agriculture will contribute USD 4.7 million toward the construction of the facility.
The company claims that the facility would be able to adjust the amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the fertilizer, which can be spread as a liquid, pellet, or powder.
Construction is expected to be completed by 2025, and operations are slated to commence later that same year. When fully operational, the facility is expected to have 40 full-time employees.
