Singtel, a Singaporean telecommunications company, has partnered with Nscale, an AI cloud platform, to expand GPU capacity for AI and high-performance computing workloads.
The partnership allows Singtel to use Nscale's GPU capacity in Europe, while Nscale can access Singtel's NVIDIA H100 GPUs in Southeast Asia by integrating with Singtel’s patented orchestration platform, Paragon. This collaboration aims to provide a more comprehensive GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offering globally, giving customers access to a wider geographical footprint and robust infrastructure support.
As part of the partnership, Singtel's regional data center arm, Nxera, will provide sustainable AI-ready data centers to support large-scale deployment of Nscale GPU capacity. The expanded GPUaaS offerings are expected to be available in Singtel's new data centers across Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia from mid-2025.
Analyst QuickTake : This partnership aligns with Nscale's ongoing efforts to broaden its product range and extend its market presence. In July 2024 , Nscale collaborated with Open Innovation AI to supply 30,000 GPUs to the Middle Eastern market, combining its GPU infrastructure with Open Innovation AI's data science tools and frameworks. Additionally, Nscale acquired Kontena in July 2024 to strengthen its high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure capabilities.
