Basware’s AP platform registered as PDP provider to facilitate mandatory e-invoicing for French VAT-registered businesses

Industry news

  • Basware’s AP automation and invoicing platform has been officially registered as a Partner Dematerialization Platform (PDP) by the French Tax Authority General Directorate of Public Finance (DGFiP) to support businesses in transitioning to mandatory e-invoicing.

  • As a member of the PDP working group, Basware is helping implement the new mandate and supporting French businesses in adapting their financial systems and processes for e-invoicing compliance.

  • By September 1, 2026, all VAT/TVA-subject businesses in France will be required to send and receive invoices electronically to enhance transparency, reduce tax evasion, and improve financial transaction efficiency.

  • The European Commission estimates that the move to e-invoicing will help reduce VAT fraud by up to EUR 11 billion per year (~USD 12.2 billion) and decrease admin and compliance costs for EU businesses by over EUR 4 billion( ~ USD 4.4 billion) over the next decade.
