Volvo announces long-range version of FH electric truck

Product updates

  • Volvo has announced plans to launch a new long-range version of its FH electric truck, which can reach up to 600 km on a single charge. The new model will be available for sale during the second half of 2025.

  • The extended range utilizes Volvo's new driveline technology, “e-axle,” which creates space for more battery capacity. The truck also features more efficient batteries, an improved battery management system, and enhanced overall powertrain efficiency.

  • Volvo claims this new electric truck will enable zero-exhaust emission transport for longer distances. It will allow transport companies to operate on interregional and long-distance routes for a full working day without recharging. The trucks also reportedly operate with lower noise and vibration levels.
