Vesta Healthcare raises USD 65 million in Series C funding to propel growth

Funding

  • Virtual care provider Vesta Healthcare has raised USD 65 million in a Series C funding round led by RA Capital Management, with participation from Oak HC/FT, Chrysalis Ventures, CareCentrix/Walgreens, Nationwide, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Lux Capital, Generator Ventures, Deerfield Management, and others. The debt financing was provided by Horizon Technology Finance Corporation. This brings the total funds raised by the company to USD 256.8 million.

  • The company plans to use the funds to expand operations and development efforts, aiming to improve in-home care by connecting the entire care team, including patients, family, caregivers, home care agencies, providers, and insurance plans.

  • As of September 2024, Vesta Healthcare serves more than 50,000 people, offering services from home-based primary care to passive monitoring. Vesta Healthcare integrates caregivers, patients, and the healthcare delivery system to monitor the chronic conditions of high-risk patients.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Earlier this week, Vesta Healthcare also secured USD 35 million in a venture loan facility from Horizon Technology Finance. The company noted that the loan proceeds would be used for general growth and working capital.
