Aleph Alpha, a German AI startup, has announced a strategic shift toward broader GenAI support services.
The company states that having a European LLM is no longer sufficient as a business model to justify the investment, citing changes in the AI landscape.
Analyst QuickTake: This news comes following the launch of the Pharia-1-LLM-7 billion-control and Pharia-1-LLM-7 billion-control-aligned LLMs to provide concise, length-controlled responses in European languages last month. It also raised USD 500 million in November last year to broaden product capabilities and commercialization efforts.
