Volocopter's CEO to resign in 2025

Management news

  • Dirk Hoke, the CEO of Volocopter, is expected to resign from the position in February 2025. The company is yet to announce his successor.

  • Hoke became Volocopter's CEO in 2022, prior to which he led Airbus' Defence & Space unit and also worked at Siemens in various executive roles.

  • Volocopter also announced that Dieter Zetsche, former CEO of Daimler, will step in as advisory board chairman, replacing Stefan Klocke.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Volocopter faced insolvency risks in April 2024, following a failed bid to acquire a EUR 100 million (~USD 107 million) loan from the German Federal Government. The company reported that Dirk Hoke supported the stabilization of the company in its turmoil, with it eventually raising an undisclosed amount of funding from existing shareholders in June 2024 .
