Game development company Studio369 is launching MetalCore Season 1: MetalPunk Rhapsody on September 12. This update marks the game's transition to open beta, allowing anyone to join the multiplayer mech shooter without a beta key or purchase.
The game has been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5, offering more realistic lighting and improved performance for large-scale mech battles. Season 1 introduces new features including PvE Raids for up to 10 players, Unit Rarity and Stats system, and a Seasonal Rewards system. The mission system has been refined to improve the first-time user experience and provide new content for experienced players.
The company states that the upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 and DLSS has significantly broadened the game's accessibility, allowing it to run smoothly on a wider range of hardware.
Analyst QuickTake: The update follows MetalCore’s transition into its third private beta ( June 2024 ), which introduced new gameplay features such as session-based PvP scenarios, competitions like domination, and capture the flag. The company also launched its Ethereum token, MCG.
