NVIDIA and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) have announced a collaboration to accelerate AI and data processing for enterprises. The partnership includes the launch of the first zettascale OCI Supercluster, powered by NVIDIA's Blackwell platform, set to be available in the first half of 2025.
The OCI Supercluster will use over 100,000 of NVIDIA's latest-generation GPUs, scaling up to 131,072 Blackwell GPUs with NVIDIA ConnectX-7 NICs or NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand networking. This setup is designed to deliver 2.4 zettaflops of peak AI compute to the cloud, allowing for large-scale AI model training and deployment.
Oracle also previewed NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 liquid-cooled bare-metal instances for GenAI applications and announced the availability of NVIDIA HGX H200 and L40S GPU-accelerated instances. These offerings aim to provide enterprises with powerful compute resources for AI workloads, potentially leading to better returns on AI investments and improved user experiences for AI inference.
