Digital twin provider Akselos has introduced new structural performance monitoring software for Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels called Structural Performance Management for FPSO 4.0. This software is designed to help maintain uninterrupted operations and extend the life of FPSOs.
The new software allows operators to cut opex costs, optimize inspections and maintenance planning, minimize downtime, and quickly resolve structural issues. It uses RB-FEA technology to provide millimeter-level precision in monitoring structural integrity. It creates a digital twin of the FPSO and can integrate inspection, metocean, tank fills, and unloading data.
Analyst QuickTake: Akselos has entered partnerships to offer digital twin solutions for FPSOs in the past. Last September, the company partnered with Yinson Production and Enauta to deploy Akselos' digital twin technology on the floating vessel Atlanta FPSO in Brazil's Santos Basin.
