DNV partners with Jupiter Intelligence to launch climate-driven hail risk service for solar PV

Partnerships

  • DNV, an assurance and risk management provider, has partnered with Jupiter Intelligence, an AI/ML-based physical climate risk analytics solution provider, to launch a new hail risk assessment service for solar PV developers in North America.

  • The service provides actionable, verified assessments of large hail risk across North America, leveraging Jupiter Intelligence's climate science for a statistical approach to assessing hail risk due to climate change. It provides probability assessments of hail events and size for specific locations in the contiguous US for current and future scenarios up to 30 years ahead, helping project owners and developers better anticipate and mitigate risks to their solar projects.
