Luma AI, a San Francisco-based startup, has launched an application programming interface (API) for its Dream Machine video generation model. This API will allow users to build applications and services utilizing Dream Machine outside of the Luma AI website.
The Dream Machine API offers several advanced video generation tools, including text-to-video generation, image-to-video transformation, keyframe control, video extension and looping, camera motion control, and variable aspect ratios. These features allow users to create videos using simple text instructions or static images, control narrative flow, and optimize videos for different platforms.
The API is now available for use and is priced at USD 0.32 per million pixels generated, which translates to USD 0.35 for a five-second video at 720p resolution with 24 frames per second.
