Space Machines Company, an Australian-Indian in-space servicing firm, has partnered with Ananth Technologies and Digantara to advance the Space MAITRI mission and launch its second Optimus satellite.
Ananth Technologies will provide assembly, integration, and testing services, including engineering and logistics support, for the Space MAITRI mission. Digantara will integrate its advanced short-range electro-optical payload onto the Optimus satellite to track resident space objects.
The Space MAITRI mission, scheduled for 2026, aims to foster international cooperation between Australia and India in the space sector. The mission received USD 8.5 million in funding from the Australian Government through the Australian Space Agency's International Space Investment India Projects program.
