Peachtree Corners, a smart city in Georgia, has partnered with May Mobility to launch an autonomous vehicle service. The service, which marks May Mobility's first deployment in Georgia, will initially be available for visitors to Curiosity Lab and open to the general public from October 7.
The autonomous vehicle service uses Toyota Sienna Autono-MaaS vehicles equipped with May Mobility's Multi-Policy Decision Making system. The service operates along Technology Parkway with eight pre-determined stops at popular destinations, accommodating up to four passengers per vehicle. Users can book rides on-demand through the May Mobility app.
The deployment in Peachtree Corners allows the company to showcase its technology both inside and outside Curiosity Lab's autonomous vehicle test lanes. It also benefits from T-Mobile's 5G network for enhanced real-time vehicle monitoring and improved in-cabin experience.
