THINK Surgical receives FDA clearance for Medacta knee implants on TMINI system

FDA approval

  • THINK Surgical's TMINI Miniature Robotic System has received FDA clearance for use with Medacta International's GMK Sphere and SpheriKA Knee Systems. This approval allows these implants to be added to THINK Surgical's ID-HUB, a proprietary database of implant modules for the open platform version of the TMINI System.

  • The clearance enables Medacta customers in the US to access robotic-assisted technology for total knee replacement using the GMK Sphere implant (a ball-in-socket knee design) and the SpheriKA implant (designed based on Kinematic Alignment principles).
