Syngenta Group launches Cropwise AI for agricultural decision-making

Product updates

  • Syngenta Group, a Switzerland-based agricultural science and seed technology firm, has launched Cropwise AI, a GenAI system for agricultural decision-making. The announcement was made at the World AgriTech Innovation Summit in London.

  • Cropwise AI is reported to leverage advanced machine learning algorithms and data analytics to provide insights for optimizing crop yields, improving sustainability, and driving profitability. The company further reports that the new system utilizes a deep library of agronomic models, including over 20 years of weather history, soil conditions, crop growth stage observations, and historical yield data from R&D and on-farm trials.

  • The company claims that Cropwise AI can help growers increase yields by up to five percent using Syngenta's seed recommendation models. The system's features include seed recommendation and placement, predictive modeling, precision agriculture, advanced disease and pest management, and sustainability analytics. Cropwise AI is currently available to selected customers in the US and Brazil, with plans to expand to Europe.
