Freemelt, a metal 3D printer manufacturer, has established its first North American E-PBF (Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion) application center in partnership with HAMR Industries LCC, a manufacturing and technology company specializing in advanced materials and manufacturing techniques.
The center is located at HAMR's facility within Neighborhood 91 (a global 3D manufacturing hub) near Pittsburgh International Airport. The application center will support projects, feasibility studies, and engineering support in the material process and application development, facilitating the transition from AM research to serial production.
This partnership is expected to expose Freemelt's eMELT technology to new government and industrial business opportunities in the defense and energy sectors in North America.
Freemelt is an additive manufacturing technology company specializing in producing Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-EB) 3D printers. The company’s flagship products are Freemelt One (a metal 3D printer), e-MELT-iD (a 3D printer designed for materials research and development), and e-MELT-iM (an industrial-standard 3D printer for mass production).
