VirtuWalk, based in the Netherlands, has released its VR treadmill system for purchase. The system includes a treadmill, navigation handlebar, and VR headset, priced between EUR 35,000 and EUR 40,000 (~USD 38,000 and ~USD 44,000).
The VirtuWalk system consists of a treadmill with sensors, a patented handlebar for navigation, and a VR headset for viewing simulations. It offers 360-degree movement in virtual worlds, supports individual and group experiences, and includes safety features that stop the treadmill if the user steps off.
The company states its system applies to architecture visualization, gaming, nature experiences, and rehabilitation therapy.
Analyst QuickTake: While the VirtuWalk is far more expensive than other VR treadmills, such as Virtuix’s Omni One Pro ( USD 2,595 ), it offers a complete XR solution. This includes a VR headset, an optional curved screen display, and a PC to run applications.
