Impossible Foods, a plant-based meat company, has introduced three new retail products: Impossible Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets, Impossible Meal Makers, and Impossible Corn Dogs. These products are expected to be available in grocery stores nationwide in the coming weeks.
The Impossible Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets, shaped like movie characters, provide 10g of protein per serving. Impossible Meal Makers, available in Taco and Italian-style flavors, offer 19g of protein, and Impossible Corn Dogs feature a plant-based hot dog with a cornmeal coating.
Impossible Foods claims these products are healthier, cholesterol-free alternatives; the Lion King Nuggets have 60% less saturated fat than traditional nuggets, Meal Makers have 33% less than traditional ground beef, and the Corn Dogs have 40% less total fat and saturated fat than animal-based versions.
Analyst QuickTake: Impossible Foods has had a favorable year with several noteworthy developments. In August 2024, the company launched its first in-person food service concept and received provisional approval from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for its heme ingredient. Furthermore, in September 2024 , it settled a patent infringement dispute with Motif FoodWorks over the heme protein and took over Motif FoodWorks' heme business.
