Luma Health, a healthcare technology company that streamlines patient care experiences, has launched Spark AI, a multi-model GenAI system integrated into its Patient Success Platform. Spark AI aims to address operational challenges in healthcare systems, such as high call volumes and manual fax processing.
Spark AI powers two new products: Navigator, an AI voice concierge that automates patient interactions, and Fax Transform, a solution that extracts structured data from faxes. Navigator can handle tasks like scheduling appointments and medication refills, while Fax Transform can process referrals, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders, and prescription refills.
The company claims Spark AI can save staff time, improve patient access to care, and enhance operational efficiency. For example, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences reported saving 98 manual call hours and processing 1,200 cancellations autonomously in one month using Navigator.
