Serve Robotics unveils third-generation autonomous delivery robot

Product updates

  • Serve Robotics, a company offering droid-based delivery services, has introduced its third-generation autonomous delivery robot. The new model is set to be deployed in 2025 on the Uber Eats platform across multiple US markets, with 2,000 units planned for production.

  • The robot features enhanced capabilities, including faster movement, longer travel distance on a single charge, increased field time, and a larger cargo capacity. It has advanced hardware such as Nvidia's Jetson Orin module, Ouster's LiDAR, and an upgraded sensor suite, enabling improved AI capabilities and faster autonomous navigation decisions.

  • Analyst QuickTake: We believe these advancements by Serve Robotics will help the company to position itself well in the competition as it prepares to roll out one of the largest autonomous fleets in the US. When considering Serve Robotics’ ongoing operations, it has already completed “tens of thousands” of deliveries for partners like Uber Eats and 7-Eleven. The deal with Uber Eats to deploy 2,000 units is one of its major sale partnerships.
