Cleveland Clinic partners with Amazon One Medical to open primary care clinics in Northeast Ohio

Partnerships

  • Cleveland Clinic, an academic health system, is partnering with Amazon One Medical, a primary care provider, to expand primary care services in Northeast Ohio.

  • The collaboration will see the opening of Amazon One Medical's first primary care office affiliated with Cleveland Clinic in 2025. The clinics will offer same and next-day appointments, on-site lab services, and virtual care support. This partnership aims to combine One Medical's innovative care model with Cleveland Clinic's network of specialists and facilities to provide more coordinated and accessible healthcare services to patients in the region.

  • The partnership will leverage Amazon One Medical's technology-powered approach, including its app-based 24/7 virtual care services, alongside Cleveland Clinic's extensive healthcare network. Both organizations plan to determine locations for additional facilities in northeast Ohio over the coming years to meet community needs.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In March and earlier this month , Amazon expanded its same-day prescription services by setting up brick-and-mortar facilities for storing and sorting medications, expanding its physical presence across the US. Through this partnership, Amazon appears to be continuing this strategy of having physical locations for its One Medical offering to deliver faster services and expanded reach.
