Augmenta, a Greek agritech startup focusing on hardware and software systems to assist farmers in scanning crop fields, raised USD 8 million in Series A funding.
The round was primarily supported by CNH Industrial (one of the largest agriculture vehicle companies- market capitalization over USD 20 billion) and Pymwymic (one of the key sustainable development companies in Europe).
The funding is expected to help expand the reach of the company’s key product- Augmenta Field Analyzer, which allows the complete automation of agricultural operations such as field analysis and fleet monitoring.
Augmenta has operations across 16 countries and with this funding, it aims to further expand its distribution network globally.
Founded in 2016, Augmenta is a developer of precision agriculture solutions by combining sensor, satellite, and drone technologies in its Augmenta Field Analyzer product.
