Suki, an AI medical scribe provider, has partnered with video-conferencing company Zoom to integrate AI-powered note-taking capabilities into its telehealth platform.
The partnership aims to offer doctors using Zoom's platform an AI scribe for taking notes during patient consultations. Suki's AI technology will be integrated into Zoom for Healthcare, which currently has a 36% share of the telehealth platform market, to provide features such as ambient scribing, clinical note generation, and suggested ICD-10 billing codes.
This collaboration is expected to significantly expand Suki's reach in the healthcare sector and potentially reduce physician note-taking time by up to 70%. The integration is part of Zoom's strategy to transform from a conferencing company into one focused on AI tools for workplaces.
Analyst QuickTake: This update follows the USD 70 million Series D fundraise by Suki earlier this month. As part of this fundraise, the company noted that it planned to use part of the funding to strengthen collaborations with health systems and electronic health record (EHR) partners. Although Zoom is neither a health system nor an EHR partner, this partnership helps to achieve the same objective of increasing Suki’s market presence.
