Ideogram, a Canadian AI image startup, has introduced Ideogram Canvas, an infinite creative board for organizing, generating, editing, and combining images. This new interface is available across all of Ideogram's usage tiers, with paid plans offering more features and fewer limitations.
Ideogram Canvas allows users to upload their own images or generate new ones and then edit, extend, or combine them using Magic Fill and Extend tools. Magic Fill enables editing specific regions of images to replace objects, add text, or change backgrounds, while Extend allows expanding images beyond their original borders while maintaining a consistent style.
Analyst QuickTake: Ideogram raised USD 80 million in a funding round earlier this year along with the launch of the image generation model "Ideogram 1.0." In April, it updated the model with new capabilities, including description-based referencing and negative prompting, to reportedly enhance the quality and coherence of outputs.
