WRAP partners with Primark to improve textile recycling and circular initiatives

Partnerships

  • WRAP, a UK-based sustainability organization, has partnered with retailer Primark for a three-year initiative to enhance textile donation schemes and expand circularity efforts.

  • The partnership will involve WRAP's Behaviour Change subsidiary providing behavioral science expertise, alongside Yellow Octopus as an advisory partner. The collaboration aims to address consumer awareness gaps in textile donation schemes.

  • As part of this partnership, Primark has committed to making its clothes recyclable by design by 2027, building on its involvement in WRAP's Sustainable Clothing Action Plan since 2016. The initiative aims to reduce the textile industry's carbon footprint by half by 2030.
