Huntress, a managed detection and response (MDR) service provider, raised USD 40 million in Series B funding led by JMI Equity, along with participation from existing investors ForgePoint Capital and Gula Tech Adventures. Huntress’s total funding now stands at USD 59.8 million.
The company expects to use the funding to scale its platform and expand its engineering team to bolster its research and development activities.
The funding comes as Huntress’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) exceeded USD 10 million in 2021. The platform currently serves more than 25,000 small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs).
Founded in 2015, Huntress offers an AI-based platform to SMBs, combined with human support for detecting and responding to cyber threats. Huntress also offers its platform to managed security service providers (MSSPs), allowing the latter to provide managed detection and response capabilities to its own clients.
