Hyzon completes successful trial of hydrogen fuel-cell truck with IMC

Partnerships

  • Hyzon, a supplier of hydrogen fuel-cell technology, has completed a two-week trial of its Class 8 200 kW fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV) truck with IMC Logistics. The vehicle has covered over 1,000 miles in the Houston market.

  • IMC Logistics reported positive feedback from drivers during the trial, which is part of its exploration of hydrogen fuel cell technology for its fleet in Texas.

  • This trial is part of a larger testing program. Since July 2024, Hyzon has completed eight successful trials of its 200 kW Class 8 and refuse truck platforms. The company also has 20 ongoing large fleet trials for its truck platforms, planned through February 2025.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Hyzon most recently completed a Class 8 200 kW FCEV truck trial in partnership with TALKE, a logistics solutions provider for the chemical industry.
