Hyzon, a supplier of hydrogen fuel-cell technology, has completed a two-week trial of its Class 8 200 kW fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV) truck with IMC Logistics. The vehicle has covered over 1,000 miles in the Houston market.
IMC Logistics reported positive feedback from drivers during the trial, which is part of its exploration of hydrogen fuel cell technology for its fleet in Texas.
This trial is part of a larger testing program. Since July 2024, Hyzon has completed eight successful trials of its 200 kW Class 8 and refuse truck platforms. The company also has 20 ongoing large fleet trials for its truck platforms, planned through February 2025.
Analyst QuickTake: Hyzon most recently completed a Class 8 200 kW FCEV truck trial in partnership with TALKE, a logistics solutions provider for the chemical industry.
