Impulse Space, an in-space transportation startup, has been selected by the Space Development Agency as one of 19 companies to join the Hybrid Acquisition for Proliferated low-Earth orbit (HALO) Program.
The partnership provides Impulse Space with eligibility to compete in prototype demonstrations and experiments, supports future phases of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA), and includes the launch of satellites within 12–18 months after any award.
The demonstrations will focus on mitigating risk and proving the feasibility of tactical data links and optical communication proliferation.
