Ontada, a McKesson business specializing in oncology real-world data, partnered with health data platform Datavant to improve access to oncology research data.
Through this partnership, life science companies will gain faster access to Ontada's comprehensive real-world data covering 2.4 million patients across 80+ tumor types. The collaboration enables researchers to connect Ontada's data with other datasets through Datavant's secure health data ecosystem, accelerating oncology innovation and drug development.
The partnership leverages Ontada's data from The US Oncology Network, which treats one in five cancer patients in the US, providing researchers with insights into community cancer care for the development of new cancer therapies and care delivery models.
Analyst Quicktake: This marks the second partnership agreement Ontada signed this year. Earlier, in October , Ontada partnered with Microsoft to use Azure AI to process unstructured oncology data. By partnering with Datavant, it appears Ontada is adopting a strategy of expanding its platform's capabilities and market reach through partnerships.
