Skyfly, a British eVTOL aircraft company, has been selected to join the UK Ministry of Defence's GBP 95 million Uncrewed Air Systems Heavy Lift Capability (UASHLC) framework with its eHarrier unmanned eVTOL aircraft.
Through its partnership with the UK Ministry of Defence, Skyfly can now bid for UASHLC contracts to develop the eHarrier, a military version of the Axe eVTOL, for missions such as cargo transport and medical evacuations. The eHarrier can be piloted remotely or autonomously with both electric and hybrid-electric options.
The UASHLC framework aims to accelerate the development of unmanned aircraft for maritime operations, providing a cost-efficient alternative to conventional helicopters.
