H3 Dynamics, a Singapore-based aerospace technology company, has launched Aerocell, a 400 kW fuel cell system designed for aerospace applications. The product adds to its existing range of 50, 100, and 200 kW solutions.
The new fuel cell system can function as both an auxiliary power unit and propulsion system, is 2x as powerful as competing models, and is 50% lighter. Three units can be combined to provide up to 1.2 MW of power, suitable for medium-sized aircraft.
The company aims to deliver a certified propulsion system in France by the end of 2025, which it claims will be the world's most powerful electric-hydrogen powertrain. The company has established partnerships with major aviation companies, including Airbus, Pipistrel, Qdot Technology, Lyte Aviation, and Sea Cheetah.
