LLMOps platform Moreh and AI semiconductor company Tenstorrent signed an MOU to jointly develop AI data center solutions, targeting NVIDIA's market dominance.
The partnership will integrate Tenstorrent's AI semiconductors (NPUs) with Moreh's software to support various AI applications, including LLM training and inference. The combined solution is expected to be commercialized by the first half of 2025.
The collaboration builds on two years of joint R&D efforts, with Moreh bringing expertise in parallel processing software and Tenstorrent contributing its innovative AI hardware and CPU development capabilities.
Analyst QuickTake: Moreh demonstrated its potential in the GenAI infrastructure space by topping an LLM performance assessment with its MoMo-70B model, a 70-billion-parameter LLM trained using the startup’s proprietary MoAI platform and AMD’s AI chip. Moreh also secured USD 22 million in Series B funding in October 2023 , highlighting confidence in its approach. Its flagship AI software, MoAI, rivals NVIIDA's CUDA and competes with popular frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow, as well as models typically tied to NVIDIA's ecosystem.
