Meta launches AI-powered Ray-Ban smart glasses in four European countries

Geographic expansion

  • Meta expanded the availability of its Ray-Ban smart glasses to France, Spain, Ireland, and Italy. The AI-powered glasses, which integrate Meta's voice assistant, are now available with support for French, Italian, Spanish, and English.

  • The smart glasses feature hands-free voice commands, allowing users to ask questions and receive real-time answers, recommendations, and creative writing inspiration.

  • While most features are available across all supported regions, the visual recognition capability that allows users to ask questions about landmarks they see is currently limited to the US, Canada, and Australia.

  • Meta plans to expand the availability to other EU countries and ensure compliance with European regulations.

  • Analyst QuickTake : The latest expansion builds on the strong sales performance of its Ray-Ban Meta glasses and follows a slew of new AI enhancements and partner integrations for its product.
