Anthropic, a developer of AI models and related tools, has launched a new "styles" feature for its Claude AI assistant that allows users to customize how the AI communicates. The feature is now available on the Claude AI platform for all users.
The styles feature offers three preset response modes: Formal (clear and polished responses), concise (shorter and direct responses), and explanatory (educational responses for learning concepts). Users can also create custom styles by uploading sample content that matches their preferred communication style and specifying instructions to match their needs.
Analyst QuickTake: Anthropic's move to prioritize personalization aligns with the broader industry trend of making AI systems more adaptable and user-centric. As the competition in the AI landscape intensifies, the ability to provide a personalized experience can be a significant differentiator for companies like Anthropic. Its competitor, OpenAI, launched a similar feature called "custom instruction" last July.
