Slingshot Aerospace, a space tracking and analytics company, has been selected by NOAA's Office of Space Commerce to design the user interface for TraCSS, an advanced space traffic coordination platform.
Slingshot Aerospace's Beacon software will be integrated into TraCSS under a USD 5.3 million contract, potentially expanding to USD 13.3 million over four years. The system will enable satellite tracking, collision avoidance, and real-time maneuvering. It is anticipated to launch in late 2025 and replace the Department of Defense’s legacy space-track.org system.
The partnership involves collaboration with T and T Consulting Services and COMSPOC to develop the presentation layer, aiming to equip commercial satellite operators, academics, and national security agencies with advanced visualization tools.
