Slingshot Aerospace partners with NOAA to design space traffic management system

Partnerships

  • Slingshot Aerospace, a space tracking and analytics company, has been selected by NOAA's Office of Space Commerce to design the user interface for TraCSS, an advanced space traffic coordination platform.

  • Slingshot Aerospace's Beacon software will be integrated into TraCSS under a USD 5.3 million contract, potentially expanding to USD 13.3 million over four years. The system will enable satellite tracking, collision avoidance, and real-time maneuvering. It is anticipated to launch in late 2025 and replace the Department of Defense’s legacy space-track.org system.

  • The partnership involves collaboration with T and T Consulting Services and COMSPOC to develop the presentation layer, aiming to equip commercial satellite operators, academics, and national security agencies with advanced visualization tools.
