Biotangents raises GBP 2.3 million in funding from Eos

Funding

  • Biotangents, a UK-based livestock diagnostics company, has secured GBP 2.3 million (~USD 2.9 million) in funding led by Eos and British Business Investments through their Regional Angels Programme, with participation from Kelvin Capital and Scottish Enterprise.

  • The funding will be used to commence on-farm trials across the UK and internationally in late 2025.

  • The company's technology provides on-farm molecular diagnostic results in less than two hours for dairy cow diseases, addressing issues like bovine mastitis. This costs the global dairy farming industry approximately GBP 20 billion (~USD 25 billion) annually and up to GBP 25,000 (~USD 32,000) per UK dairy farm.
