Allianz Partners and Uber partner to launch vehicle interruption cover for UK drivers

Partnerships

  • Allianz and Uber have collaborated with InsurTech broker Indeez to introduce Vehicle Interruption Cover (VIC), a digital insurance product for UK Uber drivers.

  • The new VIC offering is part of the Partners Protection Programme and is available to Uber Pro drivers via a subscription to the Uber driver app. The insurance protects drivers' income when their vehicles are off the road. The program also includes additional benefits such as workplace accident coverage, injury coverage, sick pay, and maternity and paternity support.

  • This partnership extends beyond the UK. Allianz Partners provides protection and security for Uber and Uber Eats partners across 23 European countries and offers various compensation payments for loss of income due to on-trip accidents, injuries, and hospitalizations.
