Meltio partners with Welding Alloys Group to improve laser wire cladding solutions

Partnerships

  • Meltio, a metal 3D printer manufacturer, has partnered with Welding Alloys Group, a producer of advanced welding consumables, to enhance laser-based repair and maintenance processes for enterprises.

  • The partnership leverages Welding Alloys' expertise in cored wire manufacturing and Meltio's laser wire cladding and metal 3D printing systems to offer a combined solution to customers. Welding Alloys will serve as Meltio's official materials partner for hard-facing and cladding globally, developing specialized cored wires for laser applications to complement Meltio's materials portfolio.

  • As part of the collaboration, Welding Alloys will help expand Meltio's ecosystem by working with technology centers, machine tool manufacturers, robotic integrators, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders worldwide to drive new business opportunities.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Meltio has steadily been expanding its product portfolio and capabilities via a series of partnerships. Some notable examples include partnerships with 1) One Off Robotics to launch a ready-to-use AM work cell ( February ); 2) Accufacture and FANUC America to introduce an AM robotic work cell ( April ); 3) Jupiter Machine Tool and Union MT to develop and sell hybrid CNC machines ( July ); and 4) Matterhackers to integrate its M600 metal 3D printer into MatterHackers' offerings ( September ).
