Spero Foods, a US plant-based cheese company, launched Smoked Salmon Sunflower Cream Cheese and Sunflower Cheddar Cheese under its Sunflower Cheese lineup. The products are made from organic sunflower seeds, water, organic coconut oil, spices, vegetables, and probiotic cultures. The newly launched Smoked Salmon Sunflower Cream Cheese also made an appearance at the recent Expo West 2021.
Founded in 2016, Spero Foods has a portfolio of cheese varieties that ranges from cream cheese and cheese spreads to alternative flavored goat cheeses. The products are sold for USD 5.99 across the US at WholeFoods, Sprouts Farmers Market, and via the Spero online store. The startup raised an undisclosed amount in June 2020 in a Series A funding round.
