Bright Machines, a manufacturing AI solutions provider, has announced a partnership with Competitive Edge Manufacturing Equipment (CEME), a supplier of automated electronic PCB assembly, inspection, and test equipment for clients in Southern California, Southern Nevada, and Baja California. As a result of the partnership, CEME will include Bright Machines Microfactories among its offerings to customers.
Founded in 2018, Bright Machines combines robotics, machine learning, and computer vision to provide manufacturing automation applications and set up customized manufacturing lines. The company provides a Microfactory-as-a-Service (MaaS) offering for factories that may have labor shortages or smaller factories that struggle to scale production. Bright Machines Microfactories include Brightware (cloud-based software), which enables machine instruction to create assembly lines and perform manufacturing tasks.
