Stellar Cyber partners with Blackberry to deliver enhanced security offerings

Partnerships

  • Stellar Cyber, the open detection and response (Open XDR) platform provider, has partnered with Blackberry, now a cybersecurity company, to offer a unified AI-powered security solution for enterprise clients and managed security service providers (MSSPs).

  • The new end-to-end security solution will combine Blackberry’s prevention-first endpoint protection solution and Stellar Cyber’s security operations center (SOC) offering to automate threat detection and response and reduce false positives.

  • Stellar Cyber (formerly known as Accaella Technology) uses a proactive approach to detect cybersecurity breaches, reducing the threat detection and response time of enterprises and managed service providers. The company leverages supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms to detect advanced threats such as account takeovers.

  • Blackberry’s cybersecurity solutions focus on protection for endpoints and internet of things (IoT) devices. Blackberry made its foray into endpoint management and security initially through its own products as Blackberry Unified Endpoint Management. Subsequently, the company executed a series of acquisitions—Good Technology in 2015 for USD 425 million and WatchDox in 2015 for USD 100 million—to allow corporations to manage enterprise endpoint devices and protect data. As of November 2020, Blackberry protected more than 500 million endpoints.
