Maven Clinic, a New York-based maternal care startup, has raised USD 110 million in a Series D funding round, led by Dragoneer Investment Group and Lux Capital, with participation from BOND, Oprah Winfrey, along with several existing investors. Maven Clinic became the first women’s and family health startup to reach unicorn status following the latest funding round which valued the company at USD 1 billion.
The proceeds will be used to expand patient access in the US, including Medicaid members, enter into international markets, and invest in new product offerings.
Since February 2020, the company has partnered with four new Fortune 15 clients, including Microsoft, experiencing a 400% membership growth in its B2B segment. The platform has served over 10 million patients through a network of more than 2,500 healthcare providers as of August 2021.
Founded in 2014, Maven Clinic is a specialized telemedicine provider focused on offering an end-to-end solution covering fertility, pregnancy, parenting, and pediatrics and offers more than 30 specialties, such as preconception, egg freezing, in vitro fertilization, and surrogacy.
