GoStudent, an online tutoring platform, (completely) acquired FoxEducation Services, the company behind the SchoolFox app, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2016, Berlin-based FoxEducation Services developed the SchoolFox app— a communication platform that connects teachers with students and parents. The platform provides a range of tools such as messenger services, a learning management system (LMS), cloud storage, video lessons, and class chats for over 5,000 schools in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.
This acquisition will allow GoStudent to include the SchoolFox communication platform within its range of services. In recent months, GoStudent expanded its workforce to more than 500 employees and further expanded its international presence by opening offices in Canada, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia among others. As of September 2021, the company is active in more than 21 countries, with over 420,000 monthly tutoring hours booked.
