Advanced Farm Technologies, a California-based smart farming startup that develops robots, raised USD 25 million in a Series B funding round led by Catapult Ventures. Existing investors Kubota Corporation, Yamaha Motor Corporation, and Impact Ventures also participated.
The funds will be directed toward developing its fruit picking robotic technology, scaling its team, and adapting its technology for new crops. Furthermore, it will support the growth of its strawberry harvesting robot called the ‘TX Robotic Strawberry Harvester’ and also allow the company to adapt the technology for apple harvesting.
