Burro (formerly known as Augean Robotics), a Philadelphia developer of autonomous farming platforms, raised USD 10.9 million in a Series A funding round led by S2G Ventures and Toyota Ventures. Existing investors Radicle Growth and ff Venture Capital also participated alongside new investors F-Prime Capital and the Cibus Enterprise Fund.
The funds will be directed toward increasing robot production to over 500 by 2022— to meet the growing demand— and to scale its team, as well as further develop its technology to serve new markets such as nursery and berry crops.
