Piestro raises USD 4.7 million through an equity crowdfunding campaign

Funding

  • Piestro, a pizza-making robot developer, has raised USD 4.7 million through equity crowdfunding on StartEngine, with participation from more than 2,100 investors. The round values the company at USD 12 million, bringing its total funding to USD 6.4 million.

  • The company intends to fund operations and development through the next two years with the capital raised.

  • Piestro has two commercial partnerships entered into in mid-2021 —with 800 Degrees Pizza and Carbone Restaurant Group (CRG) —translating to USD 580 million in revenue. The company plans to deploy its first commercial units by H2 2022, under a Robotic-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, which, as per the current prototype, would be offered for around USD 7,500 per annum.
