AMP Robotics, a Colorado-based startup offering waste sorting robots, is launching an AI-powered recycling demonstration site at SIGMA SA’s facility in Lublin, Poland, and intends to recycle and manage waste by deploying AMP’s AI-guided robotic system to identify categories of paper, plastics, and metals.
To establish the facility, AMP has partnered with Agrex-Eco (a platform providing waste management-related businesses with comprehensive solutions, including setting up plants, recommendations on contractors, etc.) and SIGMA S.A. (a long-term partner of Agrex -Eco providing mining, waste sorting, and automation technologies).
For AMP, this initiative should strengthen its footprint in Europe. The company has also appointed Agrex-Eco as its official distributor across Poland and reports that it is looking to partner with resellers in Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Prior to Agrex-Eco, AMP secured a reseller partnership with REP-TEC Advanced Technologies to reach customers in Ireland and the UK and deployed its first robotics system in the UK and Ireland for Recyco, a leading recycling and waste management company in Northern Ireland.
