Partnerships

  • Agrify, a US-listed company offering vertical farming solutions, announced that it has developed a new and improved technology for its microenvironment-controlled Vertical Farming Units (VFUs). This is currently being displayed at the Marijuana Business Conference and Cannabis Expo 2021 (MJBizCon 2021) in Las Vegas, Nevada until October 22.

  • The upgraded features are said to have the capability to be integrated smoothly with the company’s software system and are expected to support the production of more consistent, efficient, and higher-quality crop yields. The upgraded features include:

    • National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)-certified lighting that allows a 40% increase in light output

    • Cameras to proactively identify issues and monitor crop health in real time

    • Soil sensors to continuously detect soil quality

    • An automated harvest weight tracker to automatically gather inventory input and allow audits to be completed quickly, eliminating human error

  • Agrify expects to commercially launch the unit in Q2 2022.
