ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based zero-emission aviation solutions developer, has announced plans to launch the first commercial hydrogen-electric passenger flight between Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTHA) and London in 2024.
ZeroAvia has partnered with Royal Schiphol Group (a Dutch airports operator), Rotterdam The Hague Innovation Airport Foundation, and the airport to develop the 19-seater hydrogen fuel cell aircraft.
ZeroAvia will collaborate with Royal Schiphol Group on testing and demonstrating hydrogen supply chain refueling operations and integration with airport operations. The two parties will also focus on the regulatory framework for commercial hydrogen aviation.
